Why Narre Warren South families choose family day care

Narre Warren South is a family suburb, with parks, schools and shops close by and plenty of parents juggling work, school runs and younger children at the same time. Family day care helps by keeping things small and close to home.

  • Small groups. No more than seven children, and no more than four under school age, with one educator.
  • Siblings together. Babies, toddlers and school-aged children (up to 12) can all go to the same educator.
  • Hourly fees. You pay for the hours you book, not a fixed full-day rate.
  • Long hours. 6am to 7:30pm weekdays and 7am to 7pm Saturdays, depending on the educator.
  • Fewer germs. A small group means less exposure to the bugs that go around big rooms.

Every educator is registered with our approved service and holds at least a Certificate III in early childhood education, plus current first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training and a Working with Children Check. Our coordinators visit each home regularly.

Ready for school, at their own pace

Daily reading, conversation, counting games, art and outdoor play build the skills children need for kindergarten and school. Because groups are small, educators can follow each child's interests and adjust as they grow.

Your child's learning follows the Early Years Learning Framework, and you'll get regular updates on what they've been doing and how they're developing.
